Throughout his career he has held leading positions as partner in charge of the banking/finance department or the acquisition finance team in several major international law firms, such as Ashurst, Allen & Overy and Weil Gotshal & Manges.

Admitted to the Paris Bar in 1988, Jonathan is a leading figure in banking and finance law in France. Over the course of his career, he has held senior positions as partner and head of banking and finance or acquisition finance teams at several major international law firms, including Ashurst, Allen & Overy and Weil Gotshal & Manges.
In 2008, he founded Nabarro & Hinge, which quickly built a strong reputation in the market. In 2020, he co-founded Nabarro Béraud Avocats. Specialised in complex financings since the beginning of his career, Jonathan is considered one of the pioneers of private equity in France. His practice covers a broad range of sectors, including acquisition finance, project and asset finance, as well as syndicated lending. He is also recognised for his work in debt restructurings, where he develops innovative and effective solutions for clients.
Jonathan holds a DESS in Business Law – DJCE from the University of Montpellier and a PhD from the prestigious Gonville & Caius College at the University of Cambridge. He is also a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales, reflecting his strong international expertise.
